Bigger than Ben Hur and lots of chariots
It's being billed as 'Australia's first truly national Show & Shine', which is a pretty big call, however, the Shannons-backed event that will take place at Echuca-Moama on the NSW-VIC border over the October long weekend is sure to be pretty impressive.
More than 2000 vehicles are expected to take part in CARnival being organised by CAMS, which is already claiming the event as 'the largest national car club gathering ever staged in Australia'.

The Shannons CARnival Show & Shine will be the centerpiece of a motoring festival that the locals hope will become an annual event.
Cavalcades from eight major regional centres in Victoria and New South Wales will bring the enthusiasts in coordinated fun-runs.
Once on the grassy banks of the once mighty Murray River, club members will be able to take part in a wide range of activities including fun-khanas, competitive motorkhanas on sealed and unsealed surfaces, an airfield speed event and standing 400 metre sprint, two auto tests, a multi-stage gravel rallysprint and a twilight navigation touring event on local roads.
And to top it all off, there will be an opportunity to see the cars and meet the drivers from a number of major V8 Supercar and Touring Car Masters' teams as they 'pit stop' on their way to the Bathurst 1000 the following weekend.
