Monroe shocks get a 'frosty' new face

Ford Performance Racing (FPR) V8 Supercar team driver Mark "Frosty" Winterbottom has joined forces with Tenneco to become the company's lead ambassador for Monroe Shock Absorbers.

"Frosty" will use a completely re-designed helmet livery based on the
Monroe logo, appear at major trade and consumer events and promote the
Monroe safety specialist trade program.

Tenneco will also unveil a number of Monroe shock absorber sales promotions and competitions to take place during 2010.

Mark recently signed a new three-year contract with FPR.

Since joining the Ford racing team in 2006, he has won 14 V8 Supercar events had 51 podium finishes, 12 pole positions and has finished in the top ten in 80% starts.

Monroe has also had its share of winners over the years including back in 1918 with the first self-oiled, single-barreled tyre pump and the first double action shock absorber used by most US car makers through the 1950s.
