VW goes all Continental

The new Volkswagen Passat CC R-Line on sale in Europe comes standard with ContiSportContact 3 tyres resulting in all R-Line vehicles now featuring Continental's high performance tyre with ContiSeal technology. 

The technology is said to resolve about 85% of all tyre failures thanks to a coating on the inner side of the tread that immediately closes off punctures up to 5mm in diameter

Volkswagen currently supplies all versions of the Passat CC model range with the ContiSportContact 3 with size 235/45R17 and 235/40R18 on the sport orientated R-Line version. 

Continental claim that the asymmetric tread pattern design of the ContiSportContact 3 provides shorter braking distances, excellent handling and precise steering response in all conditions. 

More than 780 different vehicle models have Continental as original equipment, making it the number one OE brand in the European equipment sector for passenger and light truck tyres and number four overall in the world market.
