British tyre expo on track

It looks like the previously postponed British tyre and garage equipment exhibition Brityrex will take place this October in Manchester.
Eight months out from the opening, organizers ECI International is claiming that up to 70% of floor space has been sold.
"We continue to make very good progress with the exhibition and I can put everyone's mind at rest by confirming that Brityrex will definitely be taking place as planned," said managing director Paul Farrant.
"Reaching the 70 per cent milestone at this relatively early stage means we will go forward with confidence and in the knowledge that the industry is firmly behind the exhibition."
The organisers have been helped by an upturn in business confidence among tyre sector suppliers in the UK, which at the start of the global financial crisis plummeted causing the postponement of the exhibition.
With Brityrex specialising in garage equipment and machinery as well as its core tyre market, the news that the Garage Equipment Association (GEA) has agreed to exhibit further strengthens the show's appeal.
Brityrex International 2010 will again be sponsored by the National Tyre Dealers Association, which will hold its popular annual dinner and industry awards alongside the event.
